Role: Data Engineer - Microsoft Fabric

Location: Vancouver, WA - 100% Onsite

Job Description

This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining data solutions within the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem. The ideal candidate will support cross-functional teams by ensuring the availability, performance, and reliability of key data systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and document end-to-end data solutions using Microsoft Fabric.
• Develop ETL processes to integrate data from multiple sources.
• Optimize data models and databases for efficiency and scalability.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to meet evolving data needs.
• Maintain high standards of data quality through testing and validation.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and system performance.
• Stay up to date with emerging trends and tools within the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem.
• Support knowledge transfer by training existing data teams on implemented solutions.

Tools and Technologies

Candidates should be comfortable with the following tools and concepts:

• Microsoft Azure: Data Factory, Data Lake, Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL Database
• ETL Tools: Azure Data Factory, SSIS, or Fabric-native Notebooks
• Programming Languages: SQL, Python, PySpark
• Data Governance: Understanding of best practices for compliance and quality
• Technical Documentation: Ability to clearly document processes and workflows

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
• At least 3-5 years of experience in data engineering
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric and medallion architecture
• Solid understanding of data architecture and database design
• Proven ability to manage complex data solutions in fast-paced environments

Preferred Skills

• Relevant Microsoft certifications
• Familiarity with Microsoft Business Central
